13 Questions (and answers) about my Morals & Values Beliefs

1) Is Abortion Wrong?
I believe it is different for every person. I personally believe in Everyone’s right to choose. It is not my place or any one else’s for that matter to condemn someone for a legal choice they make.

2) Is Birth Control Wrong?
I believe birth control is a responsibility one takes.

3) Do Animals Have Rights?
I don’t know that they really do. But I really believe they should! I completely support animal rights.

4) Is Drinking Alcohol Wrong?
When done responsibly and in moderation, I don’t believe it is wrong.

5) Is Having a Tattoo Wrong?
No. I have two!

6) Is Homosexuality/Bisexuality Wrong?
If that is what a person chooses, then no, I don’t believe it is wrong.

7) Is it Ever Okay to Tell a Lie?
Well, since I have told a few here and there, I don’t see a problem with it, unless your dishonesty is illegal.

8) Is Spanking Children Wrong?
Not when done in moderation. I received a couple of spankings in my day and I didn’t resent my parents, I wasn’t abused, and I did learn my lesson.

9) Is it Wrong to Skip Church Occasionally if You Dont Feel Like Going?
Who says that going to church is what makes you a good person? My dad went to church maybe a handful of times in the time he was alive and I believe that he is in a better place (heaven). Also, I am not currently attending church because I don’t get anything out of it at this point. Why should I waste precious time going through the motions. I have my conversations with God and for me that is satisfying enough.

10) Is Divorce For Reasons Other Than Adultery Wrong?
No. You cannot trap yourself or anyone in an unhappy marriage.

11) Should Women Always Wear Traditionally Feminine Clothes?
Everyone should be allowed to choose clothing that is comfortable and appropriate for every and any situation/setting.

12) Is it Wrong For Mothers to Work Outside of Home?
Absolutely NOT!

13) Should Women Primarily be Homemakers?
If that is what a woman wants to do and the family is able to support this, then wonderful for her. Same thing, if a man wants to be a homemaker, and the family needs are met, then more power to him.

As promised

As promised a real entry complete with pictures!
I decided last night that I needed to clean and rearrange my desk. Actually it has been on my to do list for over two weeks and I just decided last night to do it.
Here is the messy desk before

You can see all of my great stuff like my new TJ Hooker DVD, my Shrek doll, my liver mug, my Far Side calendar, my magnetic poetry board

This is it after

You can see, I moved my computer to the other side, removed half the shit that was covering the desk. I still haven't changed my calendar. It is still on July.

I am finding that I much prefer my desk this way. I have to go through my drawers and clean them out.

I have only a few things left on my to do list and I could actually get them all done tonight.

File, visit 13 thursday thirteen entries, and prepare new budget worksheets.

I cleaned half of my closet today and my bedroom. I started DVD, Music and Book collection databases. I am a nerd...

I took the pictures because I figure if I am going to think about buying a new camera, I should at least use the one I have.

A little over a month ago, I took a picture of my boys through the screen door and the flash was on. Bummer. I played a little with the contrast and brightness and leave you all with this one last pick of my boys.

Thirteen random things that piss me off

  1. People who don’t respond to notes when you ask a question or provide some feedback that prompts for responses.

  2. People who use the excuse that they want to raise their kid as an excuse to be a stay at home mother. Mothers who work want to raise their kids too.

  3. People who bitch about being too poor to do things, but who won’t get off their asses to get a job and contribute to the cause when they are perfectly capable of working.

  4. Power hungry people who impede upon my work progress and make me look inept.

  5. Wal-Mart

  6. Rude neighbors who let their dogs shit on my property. They will soon find the droppings on their front porch!

  7. Same rude neighbors who pull their car forward to block my mailbox, leaving theirs easily reachable by the postman. Too bad the mailman gets their game and delivers my mail and not theirs.

  8. Tardiness. I hate when people are late!

  9. People who don’t do their job when they should and then bitch about being behind.

  10. The wireless service providers for our office Internet. I hate being down all the time!

  11. Mother’s who claim they are better mothers because they stay home with their children. It doesn’t make you better. It’s quality, not quantity. It’s not better if you are spending your entire day on the internet and letting your child sleep the day away, only paying attention to it when it hangs on to you or gets into stuff.

  12. Women who bitch about the money their husbands are spending when they don’t work. Maybe it’s an arrangement you made, I don’t know, but my mother never complained about money my father spent when he was the only one making money. They discussed things and they compromised. She didn’t get all pissy and decide to draw out the same amounts he spent to spend frivolously on herself.

  13. That I am having trouble figuring out how to modify a database to do what I need it to do without being more redundant than it already is. I inherited it, I didn’t develop it.

Thirteen Things That Are Wrong With Soap Operas

Don't get me wrong, I love them. But, there are some things that are just wrong with soaps.

  1. No happiness. Nobody is allowed to be in love and happy for very long.

  2. Miscarriages. Only about a billion a year!

  3. Birth in peril. Ever notice how so many women go into labor in the rain, in the middle of a typhoon, trapped in a cave, early in a car?

  4. Forgotten children. Children are neglected for YEARS on soaps.

  5. Aging of children. Amazing how someone born in 1993 is now a father of a teenager that was born is 2000! What is the boarding school they sent their kid to, on Saturn?

  6. Not really dead! How many people have returned from the dead? Soaps have made me believe that perhaps someday I will find out that my father was a secret agent and he will return from the dead about the time my mom is set to marry his brother. If only my father had a brother!

  7. White wedding gowns! Most women getting married these days on soaps have already been married, have had sex with just about everyone in town and has already had a miscarriage or three, and have a kid off on Saturn aging to 23!

  8. Skinny bitches! There are only about a handful of plus size ladies on the soaps and the men are all ripped! Our nation is overweight people! Cater to the real people in the world!

  9. Fake men! No man has ever been as pussiefied as a soap man! They always have the perfect words to make a woman melt. If a woman breaks down crying, a real man is going to be nervous, he won't have all the right words, if he even has any words.

  10. Miracles! You can't have children. But, doctor that's all I ever wanted. Surprise, you're pregnant! Wait, I'm deaf? But I am getting married in a month! Guess what? I can hear!

  11. No pets! Nobody has a dog or a cat!

  12. Night & Day. Ever notice how in one scene they are having breakfast and when you come back from commercial, someone else is at a gala event?

  13. Rewriting history! The most glaring example of this is when AMC decided that Erica's aborted fetus was transplanted to another woman! WTF?

Now, if you will excuse me, I have to go read Soap Opera Digest while watching today's episode of All My Children tonight on SoapNet!
