He is finally home! Today the blue penguin returned home. And best of all, his hospital stay was free! Since the alternator was only a few months old, it was still under warranty for labor and parts and well everything! So to celebrate, I bought the new Justin Timberlake cd.
Work was good. I got all my stuff to be a notary. I am official now. Whoopee
I saw a dead dear on the way home. That was sad.
I am all registered for Beginning Spanish. Part of the adult ed courses at the high school. I can’t wait. I am thinking about teaching one or two classes in the spring. Word and/or Excel. I have to call the lady and get some information.
It seemed like I had so much more to say. Oh well.
If you think this is going to be an entry about today, you are so wrong. This is going to be an entry about today. I think that I may have figured out why I get so pissy in the mornings when I get to work. I am used to being the first person in the office. I get myself organized for the day ahead and prepare myself for people. When I get to work now, people just come at me with stuff before I even get signed in. It pisses me off. I need 15 minutes to get myself together. At least let me put my bags down!
I guess I don’t have a lot to say. Started a couple of new journals (weight loss and writing). I got almost everything on my to do list done…with the exception of exercise. Maybe tomorrow…maybe not…it just depends.
I am still waiting to get my car back. It has been a week! I miss him. Apparently it is the alternator, even though they insisted that it wasn’t. There is some sort of short in it and it is draining my battery. Now, I don’t think that I should have to pay anything, because I bought the damn thing from them and they installed it. But, I know that I will have to pay something…or rather charge something.
Some people at work found my myspace site. Not exactly what I wanted, but then again, I put it out there and I wasn’t too original with my handle, using my personalized plates. It’s not as if it is that exciting. I have three friends and one of them comes with signing up. Theresa is my other friend and then some other dude who wanted to be my friend. I think he might just be full of himself and wants to have a friends list of all chicks…if only he knew I am not some sort of slut. On the flipside of having co-workers find my site…I found a dude I went to school with who has totally lied on his space and left out the fact that even though he is married, he is gayer than a three dollar bill, and he lists “someday” in the having children section…his deluded wife has popped out two, premature, very expensive Medicaid children. I also found my cousin’s wife’s site, one co-worker, but that doesn’t really count because he told us about it.
I should be writing now, but I am going to go read my erotic romance, which is basically porn with cheesy life vignettes interspersed.
My pug nose My sense of humor & quick wit My boobs – they are all natural That people like to talk to me and vent to me My education My creativity My heritage My hair My intellect My morals & work ethic (even though I am doing this at work) My uniqueness My ears

Okay kids, it is time for me to make my fall television new show predictions...
Let me preface this by saying that I don’t watch sitcoms, so I am taking a stab in the dark when it comes to how those will fair.
· 20 Good Years – I say that this will develop a sort of cult following like Arrested Development and Third Rock did. · 30 Rock – I don’t watch SNL, but I think there is too much hype and this won’t last. Especially not with Studio 60 in the mix. · Big Day – An entire season set around mishaps on your wedding day? I half expect to see Keifer Sutherland in a veil carrying a bouquet of callalillies. I say NO · Brothers & Sisters – This could be the show that Sex and the Cityiers are waiting for. Keeping my fingers crossed. · Friday Night Lights – Monday Night Football is more than enough. Okay for a movie, but not ready for prime time. · Happy Hour - No · Help Me Help You - Dr. Phil is one therapist too many on tv. I say NO · Heroes – Milo is not having such a great run of luck lately and I don’t think this will fair any better. · Jericho – Nuclear clouds? How depressing. · Justice – May be able to ride the coattails of Bruckheimer’s CSI trilogy. Plus Kerr Smith is kind of hot. · Kidnapped – The whole season centers around one kidnapping. People, we already have 24, we don’t need just one story line shows. · Knights of Prosperity – Good thing Mick Jagger has music to fall back on. · Men in Trees – Might just be the next Northern Exposure · Notes From the Underbelly - Sounds like Sex and the City for the married, child loving crowd. Not my cup of tea. · Runaway - Donnie Wahlberg is a good actor, so I am hoping this takes off for him. That being said, I probably won’t watch it, because I forget about networks other than Fox, CBS, and NBC. · Shark - Looking forward to this show. James Woods plays a dick really really well. · Six Degrees - This is the first I have heard of it and probably the last. · Smith – This story seems played out. Ray should stick to guest starring gigs. · Standoff - Okay, finally something to sink my teeth into. The acting is terrible and that is just from the previews. The premise is so cliched. These characters might live on in 50 or so fan fics floating around the web. · Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip - This is a big ticket for NBC. I am thinking Las Vegas meets West Wing. · The Class - I don’t remember anyone from third grade. Stick a fork in it, it’s done. · The Game - You can make it any sport you want to, it will not make it to the playoffs. · The Nine - There are going to be people who love this show and they will be greatly disappointed, when ABC pulls the plug on it. · Til Death – This is the show Everybody Loves Raymond fans have been waiting for. Fox needs this sitcom to take off and replace exiting Arrested Development and That 70s Show. · Ugly Betty - I don’t think America is ready for Betty. We still like to see the pretty people on tv. · Vanished – The 24 fans are going to tune in to see if Walt had something to do with his wife’s disappearance. That and they have nothing else to watch until January To Recap
Once again, I don't feel like I accomplished anything this weekend. Unless you count running up my credit card as something. Well not entirely true...I cleaned out my closet. The only reason I did that was because I bought new clothes and needed a place to put them. I had such high hopes for this weekend too. I was going to dust and clean my bedroom, clean my bathroom, file, get my budget done for this week's paycheck, organize my work stuff, get some writing done. I still have a little bit of time left, I guess I could do something. Maybe I will get my work stuff organized and ready for tomorrow. I was going to do my confirmations yesterday, but I don't have the phone numbers because, against my first instincts, didn't bring my rolodex home.
I ordered two books off of amazon on Friday. The one I found at Barnes & Noble when we went to Missoula, but I didn't buy it. I had hoped to find it at Hastings...but wasn't too surprised when they didn't have it. After all it is an erotic romance. I wish I would have remembered when I was at amazon to look for the postsecret book. I would have looked in Missoula, but I didn't go with a book list in mind. I wasn't even sure we would go there. Oh yeah...we went to Missoula on Friday. That's where I bought all my clothes.
Found out Thursday that I am going to go to Missoula again later this month for the MCA conference. It will be a new experience because I have to share a room with someone other than my family. I think it will be okay. Kathy seems nice enough.
I have to make a decision soon if I am going to do this whole novel thing. I want to, but so far, I am not feeling the idea like I should be. It seems like there is another story in my head but it is afraid to come out. Time will tell
